FAQs
-
Our classes are open to all adults—beginners and seasoned practioneers. We specialise in physio‑led Pilates, so whether you’re recovering from an injury, managing a chronic condition or simply want to build strength and flexibility, there’s a class for you.
A physio understands how injuries and conditions affect the body and adapts exercises to build strength and mobility safely.
-
A physio does more than instruct exercises. We assess movement patterns, diagnose muscular imbalances and consider your injury history. That expertise lets us tailor your programme, improve posture and address the root causes of discomfort—advantages you won’t get from a teacher without medical training.
-
Yes. Our sessions are led by a Chartered Physiotherapist who adapts exercises for your specific injury or pain. Pilates strengthens the muscles around the affected area, improves mobility and helps prevent future flare‑ups. Always let us know about your condition before starting.

Standard instructors often follow a fixed routine. Our physio‑led classes begin with a brief assessment and adjust on the spot to your needs. If you have back pain, knee issues or arthritis, we modify exercises immediately and can liaise with your GP or consultant to ensure continuity of care.
-
No. Most of our newcomers are first‑timers. Our intro programme includes an assessment and three beginner classes to teach you the fundamentals at your own pace, so you can join group sessions with confidence.
-
Wear comfortable clothing that allows free movement (leggings, shorts, T‑shirts). Pilates is usually done barefoot or in grip socks. Bring a bottle of water and, if attending a mat class, we’ll provide mats and small equipment—no need to bring your own.
-
Consistency is key. You may feel improvements in posture and mobility within 10 sessions; after 20 sessions you’ll see noticeable changes, and by 30 sessions you’ll feel like you have a new body. These timelines are based on Joseph Pilates’ own guidelines and our clients’ experiences.
-
Use the Book Now button on our site or contact us via phone or email. We’ll arrange your initial assessment and secure a place in one of our small, focused classes.
-
We require 24 hours’ notice for class or appointment cancellations. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged at the full session rate. This helps us maintain small class sizes and fair scheduling for other clients.
